PTAC – Vet 2014 Conference – Niche start-up business Should-Do’s
These events, although seemingly niche in Veteran owned only, are great events for those that fall under that category in meeting, greeting, and getting feedback on your start-up. You can find a lot of information about GSA schedules and open new doors with much larger vendors which are near impossible strictly via the Tier 1 application forms and partner cold calls.
Have at least 20 business cards each and I suggest attending with a minimum of two people to help cover the floor more effectively. That way if you do end up with a lengthy conversation with a potential you’re not throwing away all other possibilities. Ask for a business card and if it’s OK to contact that person directly after the conference. Going through Tier 1 applications for partnerships tends to throw you simply into the pile and every little boost helps – and no boost is larger than a personal internal champion of your service.
The PTAC of Schoolcraft College, along with Vet Biz Central, is pleased to announce an important event, VET 2014 Conference. This is a great opportunity for Veteran Business Owners to meet, network and engage with Tier 1 and Government Purchasers. This is expected to sellout, so register now and avoid being shut out.
